On **22nd April 2025**, **Bandari College Dar es Salaam (BCD)** conducted a specialized training programme on **research writing skills** for its instructors as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen academic capacity and promote a strong research culture within the institution.

The training was designed to enhance instructors’ knowledge and understanding of effective research writing methodologies, enabling them to develop high-quality research outputs focusing on critical areas within the **transport, maritime, and port sectors**. The programme aimed to equip participants with the necessary skills to conduct, document, and publish impactful research that addresses emerging challenges and contributes to sector development.

The comprehensive training was facilitated by **Dr. Cosmas Masanja** from the **University of Dar es Salaam Business School (UDBS)**, who provided expert guidance on key aspects of research development, academic writing, research methodology, and the preparation of quality research documents.

Through interactive sessions and knowledge-sharing discussions, participants gained valuable insights into improving research proposals, structuring academic papers, strengthening analytical approaches, and ensuring that research findings effectively contribute to policy development and operational improvements within the maritime and transport industries.
