Bandari College Hosts Training of Trainers Programme on Rigging and Lifting Operations

Bandari College Dar es Salaam is conducting a specialized **Training of Trainers (ToT)** programme on **Rigging and Lifting Operations**, aimed at strengthening the technical capacity of its academic staff and enhancing the quality of professional training offered by the College.

The one-week training programme has been organized by **Solid Rock Company**, through **East Africa Logistics Services (EALS)**, a subcontractor supporting the **East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP)** project. The initiative forms part of broader efforts to develop local expertise and promote skills transfer in occupational areas that are critical to the construction, logistics, maritime, and energy sectors.

Held at the Bandari College Main Campus in Dar es Salaam, the programme equips College instructors with advanced knowledge and practical competencies in rigging and lifting operations. The training covers key areas including safe lifting practices, lifting equipment selection and inspection, rigging techniques, load planning, risk assessment, applicable safety regulations, and internationally recognized operational standards.

By enhancing the competencies of its trainers, the programme is expected to improve the College's capacity to deliver high-quality, industry-oriented training that meets the growing demand for skilled professionals in heavy lifting and material handling operations. The knowledge and practical experience gained through the programme will enable participants to effectively transfer these skills to future trainees, thereby multiplying the impact of the initiative.
